Biorestructuring

Biorestructuring is a very popular treatment in aesthetic medicine. Its primary goal is to combat skin imperfections that tend to develop with age.

WHAT IS DERMAL BIORESTRUCTURING?

The goal of biorestructuring is skin rejuvenation. By inserting substances into the dermis that stimulate the skin's metabolic processes, it is possible to delay the aging process. The treatment restores to the dermis substances that the body no longer produces in sufficient quantities. This decrease slows skin cell regeneration, causing aging and the appearance of blemishes. It's immediately obvious that a face showing significant signs of aging appears dull and hollow. Over time, our tissues lose hydration, becoming less and less elastic. Biorestructuring involves the use of physiological biostimulants on the face, hands, and décolleté to achieve more hydrated and firm skin. The main substance used is hyaluronic acid, a molecule naturally present in the body that stimulates cell production and renewal. Through small injections into the dermis, biorestructuring allows you to restore the amount of hyaluronic acid, for skin that is once again toned and hydrated.

WHAT IS BIORESTRUCTURING FOR?

We've just read that biorevitalization improves skin tone and elasticity by stimulating cell regeneration and turnover. This aesthetic medicine technique is also useful for improving the production of collagen and elastin, other substances that decline with age. We can therefore say that biorestructuring allows for deep skin hydration. But how long does biorestructuring last? And how long does it take to see results? To achieve longer-lasting results, it's advisable to perform biorevitalization cycles and not limit the treatment to a single session. Each cycle should include at least three or four sessions, spaced about a month apart. It's also helpful to take advantage of the spring months to prepare and hydrate the skin for summer, when exposure to the sun and UV rays is higher. By repeating the treatment a couple of times a year, we can ensure the effects last longer. The effect is not permanent, since the injected hyaluronic acid is gradually eliminated from the body following a natural elimination process.

WHICH PARTS OF THE BODY CAN BE TREATED WITH A RESTRUCTURING?

We've seen how biorestructuring treatment is an ideal solution for skin that's starting to show signs of aging. This technique can be used to correct various types of imperfections. Skin restructuring is frequently used to correct wrinkles on the face and lips, and to correct dark spots or other signs of aging on the face, neck, and backs of the hands.

Facial biorestructuring

The face and neck are the areas most frequently targeted for correcting imperfections and signs of aging. But what exactly is Facial Biorestructuring? As previously mentioned, it is a cosmetic treatment option useful for treating the signs of skin aging and damage caused by sun exposure. Its action provides a natural and long-lasting reshaping effect against dehydration, loss of elasticity, sagging skin, and wrinkles. This results in firmer, more toned, supple, and youthful skin. Wrinkles are reduced, texture improves, and the skin appears plumper. Furthermore, biorevitalization restores skin's radiance.

Arm biorestructuring: what changes?

Biorestructuring has proven useful beyond the face and décolleté. After 40, the arms also tend to lose elasticity and appear less toned. The arms, especially the inner areas, risk becoming a problem area for all women. Aging of the arms often manifests itself with a progressive sagging of the tissues. The most immediate consequence? The skin begins to have a sagging appearance, known as the "tent effect." The appearance of these imperfections is also caused by the physiological decline in collagen and elastin synthesis. So how can they be remedied? Hyaluronic acid comes to the rescue once again. It is possible to achieve true biorestructuring of the dermis and say goodbye to imperfections on the arms.

BENEFITS OF BIORESTRUCTURING

The primary goal of biorestructuring is to restore and improve the skin's functional and structural properties, enhancing its aesthetic characteristics. What other benefits does biorestructuring offer? Microinjections of hyaluronic acid stimulate the formation and synthesis of some of the skin's key components, such as reticular collagen and elastin. These substances also help improve the delivery of nutrients to the dermis and epidermis. Dermal vascularization also benefits, ensuring improved vitality of the dermis and epidermis. In short, biorestructuring helps keep our skin younger and healthier through true biorevitalization.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BIOREVITALIZATION AND BIORESTRUCTURING

Biorevitalization and biorestructuring are often considered the same treatment. Although both aim to care for and improve the skin's appearance, they work at different levels. Therefore, there are some differences between the two aesthetic solutions, which we will explore in greater detail. As previously discussed, biorestructuring works by stimulating the production of substances that help keep skin firm and elastic. The purpose of biorevitalization is to hydrate the skin. In both cases, the injectable substance used is hyaluronic acid; what differs, therefore, is the purpose for which the injections are administered. Generally, biorevitalization is indicated for patients requiring deep skin hydration. It is a treatment that is increasingly recommended for younger patients, starting at age 25. Obviously, biorevitalization is effective in patients over 40, but with some precautions. It is important that the skin does not show excessive signs of aging, as the effect may be short-lived. We can consider biorevitalization a kind of training for still-young skin. The goal is to maintain hydration, preserving a youthful appearance and delaying the signs of aging. When the signs of aging begin to become more pronounced, it's a good idea to consider biorestructuring, which can regenerate collagen and elastin.

WHO IS BIORESTRUCTURING SUITABLE FOR?

Biorestructuring, or biostimulation, is therefore recommended for young patients as a treatment to prevent the signs of aging. In older patients, it aims to improve skin quality and reduce the signs of aging. Each session lasts approximately 15 minutes and takes place directly in the office. Immediately after the session, the patient can return to normal daily and social activities without any limitations.
