The methods involve either ablation or vaporization of the lesion; one or the other method should be chosen depending on the "spot" we need to treat, distinguishing between age spots, keratosis, melasma, or chloasma.

A careful preliminary study of the lesion is therefore essential.

The treatment is usually performed under topical anesthesia; after the session, the patient can resume normal daily activities, taking care to avoid exposing the treated area to sunlight and applying a full sunscreen.
